About the Role
Role Overview: We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to drive artistic innovation and spearhead growth initiatives at COMPANY. The Director of Artistic Innovation and Growth will be instrumental in shaping the future of Indian classical dance education, overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects aimed at market expansion, community engagement, and creative advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision: Develop and communicate a forward-thinking vision for COMPANY's growth and innovation in the Indian classical dance landscape.
Project Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to execute a wide array of innovative projects, ensuring alignment with COMPANY's mission and objectives.
Innovative Initiatives: Conceptualize, strategize, and implement pioneering projects that create new market spaces, including artist residencies, community outreach programs, and cultural collaborations.
Revenue Generation: Identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities through profitable ventures such as merchandise lines, international certifications, and specialized dance tours.
Partnership Development: Forge strategic partnerships with artists, educational institutions, corporations, and cultural organizations to enhance COMPANY's brand presence and outreach.
Cultural Preservation: Spearhead initiatives to preserve and promote the cultural heritage associated with Indian classical dance, contributing to its documentation and conservation.
Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture, providing mentorship and guidance to team members while fostering their professional growth.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets, track project expenses, and ensure financial sustainability for initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Dance Education, Arts Management, or related field. Additional certifications or qualifications are a plus.
Proven track record (minimum 7-10 years) in a leadership role within the arts, dance education, or cultural innovation sector.
Strong understanding and passion for Indian classical dance forms, with deep-rooted knowledge of their history, cultural significance, and contemporary trends.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive them from conception to successful implementation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities to cultivate partnerships and represent COMPANY effectively.
Visionary thinking, creativity, and an innovative mindset to pioneer new market spaces while adhering to COMPANY's values and ethos.
Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and data analysis to ensure strategic decision-making and project viability.
